How do I set up my hosting and domain registration so that I can begin uploading Search Engine Cloaker?

Now that you have a reseller hosting account and a domain name registered I need to teach you how to setup your domain name and hosting so that they are communicating with each other and your website can be displayed.  I am going to show you step-by-step how to do this.

1.)  Login to your reseller hosting control panel
When you purchased you reseller hosting account you should have been given a URL along with a username and password to login to your Web Host Management (WHM) control panel.

2.)  Create a new account
Once you are logged in click on the "Create a New Account" button.  Fill in your domain, username, and password while leaving all the other fields set to unlimited.  Then click "create".  You now have your hosting account setup.

3.)  Changing your nameservers
Now you need to tell your domain name where your hosting is setup by changing the name servers.  Your hosting provider should have told you what your name servers are when you signed up.  An example of your name servers are ns1.thenameserver.com and ns2.thenameserver.com.  If you don't know your name servers then send an email to your hosting provider.  Now that you have your name servers it is time to login to your domain registrar account.  When your in your domain registrar account click on your domain and there should be something that says "change DNS" or "change name servers", so you will want to click on that.  Next it might say something like "use our name servers" or "use your own name servers".  You will want to select "use your own name servers" and then proceed to type in your name servers.  Click "update" and you are done.

4.)  Waiting for your website to propagate
After you have created your hosting account and changed your name servers you will need to wait anywhere from a couple of hours to 48 hours before your site becomes "live".  You will know your website is "live" when you go to yourdomain.com and it shows a page with your directories.
